After a decade as an accessory designer with major American brands and degrees from SCAD, I moved home to Nassau in 2019 because I noticed something missing: spaces where locals and visitors could connect through authentic cultural experiences. Where Bahamian heritage wasn't performed for tourists, but shared as genuine knowledge. Where quality and authenticity weren't mutually exclusive.So we created Haus of Assembly - a place where our grandmother's botanical knowledge meets professional design standards. Where the bougainvillea climbing your fence, the sea grape that lined childhood beach days, and the wild sage used for generations become the heart of every creation.Here, cruise passengers experience real island culture, not cruise port versions. Locals take pride in workshops that celebrate what makes home special. Visitors and islanders alike discover that these aren't just ingredients - they're home.This is the Bahamas beyond the postcard.
